Most preachers confuse congregations about the timing of Christ’s return and the nature of His Kingdom. Premillennialism teaches that Jesus returns before a literal 1,000-year earthly reign, often interpreting Revelation 20 and the tribulation as literal events, establishing a physical kingdom on earth. Amillennialism, however, understands the millennium as symbolic, representing Christ’s present reign through the Church, with Satan’s influence limited to allow the spread of the Gospel.
